Forum: forums Subject: Invalid mux rate?

Hey there,

Every once in a while our playback server gets a file with a mux rate that is too high. We discovered that the problem is actually with the original mpg file (http://archive.org/details/scm-27330-march272012), but I am surprised that it isn't corrected with the derivation (especially since it seems to be in the specs in the task page)? Is mux rate something that would be standardized?

Thanks,
Erin

Some new information to add to my query...

It may not be an issue on our end after all, as some of our original files have a fine mux rate, but the derivative from Archive becomes invalid.

Two more samples that I've found...

http://archive.org/details/scm-27338-therealgarden-march272012 (server 706)
http://archive.org/details/scm-27706-beyondtheheadlinesspecialrepor (server 304 - this does have a server hard drive fix issue it seems)

Thanks for your help!
